I just have to share our latest journey with everyone. We had another ultrasound done on Tuesday and it went GREAT!!! Our little guy is weighing in at 4 pounds and 13 ounces. This means that if he makes it to March 16 he will be right around 8 pounds! That's right....I said if. BIG IF!
Our little guy was also busy doing other things to keep him occupied (besides steadily gaining weight). He was busy smacking his sweet little mouth (which was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen), sucking his thumb and, my personal favorite, sticking his tounge out at his momma and daddy. Can you believe it! He even opened his eyes and gave us a good once-over. It looks as though he is gonna have his momma's narrow jaw line and his daddy's eyes...which I could not be more excited about because Chris has killer eyes!!! Watch out ladies, you won't be able to beat this sweet combo!
And each day I am even more ready to meet him! I have thoroughly enjoyed cooing and holding my friend's little ones but this makes me even more eager to hold my Caleb. I have also noticed that the bigger his movements become, the less terrified I am for him to be here. Maybe I am having a mother-type epiphany because I am no longer scared that I will burp him too hard or swaddle him too tight and cut off his circulation. This alone is a wonderful feeling to feel. So just think how amazing it will be when I actually have him in my arms. I can't even imagine!!
